Posted by on in WATVA News

Saturday of Labor Day weekend was a great day in Townsend! At 10:30 despite the rain about 60 ATVs & UTVs lined up at Townsend Shell to parade north. They were led by Grand Marshall Gerry Linssen former Red Arrow Club President and longtime club supporter. Their destination was Barb’s Valley Inn to kick off the 8th Annual ATV/UTV Parade & Corn Roast sponsored by Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club and Barb's Valley Inn. Also thanks to Rob & Kim Seebers of Townsend Shell for organizing the parade, the Townsend Police Department for traffic control and the Townsend Flowage Association for the use of their equipment.

Jim & Barb Majestic, owners of Barb’s Valley Inn again went over the top to provide a great venue. Red Arrow can’t thank them enough for their support of this event and their yearlong support of the club. Look for the bar with the snowmobile (and now ATV) on the roof just north of Townsend. A very nice event profit will help the Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club maintain their record of having some of the finest snowmobile and ATV trails in this part of the state.

Big Storms Cause Big Issues In Burnett County

Posted by on in WATVA News

Heavy storms went through Burnett County last night with high winds and heavy downpours causing washouts and high water in areas along with some fallen trees. Please use caution when on the trails. Ride slowly through high water as to not promote damage to the trails. We are working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible.

Also, please remember our summer trail riding season is quickly coming to an end. Beginning September 16 we will be in our Fall/Hunting Riding Season. Please follow this link for more information: http://www.burnettcounty.com/DocumentCenter/View/3368

Some township ordinances allow for ATV/UTV use of the town roads and others do NOT allow it. It is the rider’s responsibility to contact the township in which you plan to ride in and get the current rules pertaining to ATVs/UTVs and the town roads. Please contact the individual townships for their rules and regulations.

NO OFF TRAIL USE IS ALLOWED Please stay on the trails. Much of our trail system is on private land, and we appreciate the easements granted by our generous land owners. It only takes one person to have the entire trail system shut down.

Caution: Groomers and trail maintenance vehicles may be on the trails at any time.

All snowmobiles, ATVs and UTVs must be registered or licensed to ride on our trails.

It is your responsibility to know where you are and whose property you are on. Please be careful, be respectful to other trail users, and ride safely.
